Welda V. Pannell

Welda V Pannell, 81, of Haskell passed away Friday, October 21, 2022, in Abilene, TX. Welda was born October 11, 1941, in Memphis, TX, the daughter of the late Charlie Clayton Hook and Fannie Mae Tyler Hook. She worked as dispatcher and jailer for Haskell County until her retirement. Welda enjoyed cooking, puzzles, reading and collecting thimbles. She loved to fish and always made Christmas special. Welda doated on her grandkids and great grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Tommy Hook; grandson, Brandon Lane Pannell; and sister-in-law, May Hook.

Welda is survived by her children, Clayton Pannell and wife Michele of Throckmorton; Kayla Pannell Rogers of Alaska; Landon Pannell of Haskell; Brandon "Chad" Pannell and wife Dayna of Rule; 9 grandchildren; 12 great, grandchildren; brother, Elvis Hook of Brownfield; sister Betty Sue Hook of Haskell; sister-in-law, Lois Hook of Brownfield; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
