Steven Lee Schmidt

Steven Lee Schmidt, 59, of Stamford, passed away Monday July 12, 2021 in Abilene. A graveside service will be held 10:00 am, Monday, July 26, 2021 at New Hope Cemetery with Rev. Paul Wright officiating. A visitation will be held Sunday, July 25, 2021 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm, at Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.
Steven was born August 30, 1961 in Stamford, Texas, the son of the late Edgar "Bobby" Schmidt and Leta Jo Skiles Schmidt. He was a graduate of Stamford High School. Steven followed in his family's footsteps, as a lifelong farmer. His family was a member of Central Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; aunt, Jan Blair and uncle, Rufus Schmidt.
Steven is survived by his son Zachary Lee Schmidt of Abilene, TX.
