Sara was born May 22, 1978 in San Angelo, Texas, the daughter of Kathy Ann Smith and Sidney Wayne “Tooter” Parker. Sara was a descendant of Quanah Parker and took great pride in her Native American heritage. She graduated from Haskell High School in 1996. She was a member of the Haskell First Christian Church and celebrated the joy of being baptized on the 100th anniversary of her home church by Bro. Dusty Garison. On July 23, 2022, she married Jacob Marin in Haskell, Texas. She attended Abilene Beauty College and worked as a certified nail technician for one year before transitioning to office support at Cummings Supply. She then began her 17-year state of Texas career at the Health & Human Services Commission assisting people in need.

Sara, affectionately called Suki Baby, by her daddy, was a one-of-a-kind, beautiful, passionate soul and a true, genuine friend to many. In her early years of her life she played softball, was a successful gymnast, and took dance. She always had a witty comment and loved to make others laugh. An avid Texas A & M and Texas Rangers fan, she often wore her team spirit proudly. Music was a big part of her life. She loved to sing and enjoyed all kinds of music, especially songs by Conway Twitty. She also had quite the gift of writing poetry. Her favorite vacation spot was the beach, and she always looked forward to her next walk in the sand. She loved playing Uno with friends and family and brought fierce competition to the table. Cooking was one of her favorite pastimes, she would often make delicious meals for her family and friends. She greatly treasured her title of “Honey” to her three granddaughters and her granddog, Aggie.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; daddy, Sidney Wayne “Tooter” Parker on May 10, 2014; and uncle, George “Butch” Malaise.

Left to cherish Sara’s memory are her husband, Jacob Marin of Haskell; daughter Addisyn Grace Tester and husband, Ryan of Austin, TX; step-sons, Bradley Marin and wife Shantel of Midland, TX and Michael Marin of Midland, TX; her mother, Kathy Parker Hearn and husband, Jerry of Haskell; sister, Myra Casey of Haskell; step-sisters, Shawnie Martin and husband Jay; Lori Hearn all of Midland, TX; step-brother, Jeremy D Hearn and wife Candice of Junction, TX; brother-in-law, Mark Marin and wife Mary of Andrews, TX; sister-in-law, Jessica Valenzuela and husband Jesse of Abilene, TX; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Vincent and Marie Marin of Rule, TX; step-granddaughters, Violet, Hazel, and Charlotte; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a large circle of very dear friends.
