Robert Glenn Wood

Robert Glenn Wood, 67, of Lovington, NM, formerly of Paint Creek, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023 in Brownfield, TX. A Graveside Service will be held 1:00pm, Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Willow Cemetery with Pastor Dillon Mathes officiating. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm, Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.

Robert was born April 4, 1955 in Haskell, Texas, the son of the late Robert Weldon Wood and Cordina Putnam Wood. On June 17, 1973, he married Selena Paulette Merchant in Stamford, TX. In 2020, he retired from Petroplex Acidizing, after 28 years of service. Robert was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed singing, playing the guitar, and riding his motorcycle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law, Katy Wood and sister, Rita Cockrell.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Selena Paulette; sons, Stewart Wood and wife Sylvia; Jody Glenn Wood all of Lovington, NM; grandchildren, Iris Taygen Wood, Jonah Baker Wood, Jax Taylor Wood; sister, Joyce Elam and husband James of Abilene; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
