Patrick “Pat” Malcolm Henry, 85, long time resident of Haskell, passed away Friday, October 25, 2024, in Glen Rose, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm, Monday, October 28, 2024, at Willow Cemetery with J.W. Wallace officiating. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.
Pat was born December 8, 1938, in Stamford, Texas to the late Herman Kennedy Henry and Pauline Nettie Mullino Henry. He graduated from Haskell High School in 1957 and attended Texas A&M University. Pat received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a Ph. D in Entomology. He was a lifelong farmer and taught mathematics in the Haskell school system for many years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Haskell.
On March 30, 1961, he married Charlcy Jane Hayes. They were married 37 years before she passed away on April 10, 1998. They had 3 children together: Harry, Patricia and Cynthia. In April of 1999, he married Mary Sue Guess and they were married 17 years before she passed away.
He continued to reside in Haskell until moving to Granbury, TX in 2021 to be closer to his children. Over the last 10 years of his life, he had two special friends that were important to him, Sue Yeary and Cynthia Hartgraves. Some of his favorite past times were playing dominos, coloring and reading.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Kay Henry; wife, Charlcy Jane Henry; and wife, Mary Sue Guess Henry.
Pat is survived by son, Harry Henry and wife Heather of Richardson, TX; daughters, Patricia Kirby and husband Grant of Glen Rose, TX; Cynthia Sanders and husband Pat of Glen Rose, TX; grandchildren, Morgan White of Granbury, TX; Cameron Kirby of Glen Rose, TX; Elinor Henry of Richardson, TX; Amelia Henry of Richardson, TX; Charlotte Henry of Richardson, TX, extended family and a host of dear friends.
