Patricia Jean Layland

Patricia Jean Layland, 72, of Haskell, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024, in Karnack, Texas. A Rosary and visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm, Friday, August 2, 2024 at Haskell Funeral Home Chapel, led by Deacon Julian Estrada. A graveside service will be held 3:00pm, Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Willow Cemetery with Rev. Albert Devanesan officiating, under the direction of Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D. Pat was born August 30, 1951, in Brownfield, Texas to Billy Joe Layland and Minerva Elizabeth “Liz” Johnson Layland. Pat was an LVN. She was a member of St. George Catholic Church.  She enjoyed arrowhead hunting, treasure hunts, and fishing.  Her greatest love was that of her children and her grandchildren.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Danny Layland, Johnny Layland, and Roy Lee Layland; and grandson, Justin Chesnut.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Donna Hector and Allyn of Keller, TX, Christy Burnett and Steve of Karnack, TX, Cathy Coleman and Bill of Tyler, TX, Pam Chesnut and Anthony of Midland, TX; 14 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Cichowski of Michigan and Karen McEwen of Florida; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of dear friends.
