Mitzi "Mickey" Denise Hodge

Mitzi “Mickey” Denise Hodge, 62, of Haskell, passed away Friday, August 2, 2024, in Abilene, Texas. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 1:00pm, at Greater Independent Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Amos officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Cemetery, Haskell, under the direction of Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D, Haskell. Mickey was born September 19, 1961, in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of the late Willie Davis and Betty Jean Hodge. She raised her three sons in Haskell and worked at the nursing home for nine years. Mickey loved taking care of people, making people smile, and enjoyed listening to Christian music. She was full of love and joy. She married Robert Johnson September 19, 2018, at the Greater Independent Baptist Church. Mickey praised the Lord daily.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Levi Hodge; sister, Pamela Hodge; and brother, Jerome Hodge.

Mickey is survived by her husband, Robert Johnson of Haskell; sons, Darrell Hodge and Jakaan Hodge both of Abilene; seven grandchildren; step-son, Robert Earl Johnson, Jr. and wife Betty, of Aspermont; step-daughter, Charlotte Kay Edwards and husband Ronnie of Wichita Falls; seven step-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of dear friends.
