Milton was born December 12, 1930 in Haskell, Texas, the son of the late Enos Conner Christian and Leta Virginia Simmons Christian. On March 16, 1980, he married Melodee Ann Quade Christian in Stamford, Texas. He served in the Air Force, received a bachelor’s degree, and farmed in Haskell County until the age of 89. He was a member of the Masonic Grand Lodge of Texas, Orient No. 905. Milton had an interest in aviation, was an avid reader of World War II history and had a passion for studying the bible and teaching others about Christ. He was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon until 2003. Milton then became a founding member and deacon of Cornerstone Fellowship Baptist Church, where he is still a member. He loved spending time with his family, whether it was working on the farm, attending school events or a lazy day at home. His greatest treasure was raising his children to follow Christ and watching them teach their children about Jesus. Milton wanted everyone to learn to trust God in every season of life, and that by following God’s will, life will be full of joy, peace, and security in knowing that He is Lord of All.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Enos Conner Christian and Leta Simmons Christian, and daughter-in-law, Tera Christian.
Milton is survived by his wife of 43 years, Melodee Christian of Haskell; son, Lee Christian of Bedford, TX; daughter, Kristi Cabiao and husband Mario of Niceville, FL; grandchildren, Kaylee Christian, Conner Christian, Logan Cabiao, Gavin Cabiao, Miles Cabiao; brother, George Christian and wife Suzanne of Kingwood, TX; sister, Sue Christian Strang and husband Sam of Stratham, GA, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
