Melvin Duane Boggs

Melvin Duane Boggs, 65, of Haskell, passed away at his ranch on Sunday, March 19, 2023. A memorial service will be held 2:00pm, Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Haskell Funeral Home Chapel, 2 Avenue D, with Rev. Terry Bunch officiating. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.

Duane was born May 12, 1957, in Lubbock, Texas, the son of the late Melvin Jones Boggs and Nancy Permillia King Boggs. He served in the Navy for 4 years, and later became a truck driver. On November 4, 2016, he married Elizabeth Voigt in New Mexico. He loved his horses.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Jeremy Boggs.

Duane is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Boggs of Crosbyton; children, Dusty Boggs of Wyoming; Cody Boggs of Abilene; Jessica Coleman and husband Ty of Haskell; Katherine Boggs of Crosbyton; Eddie Dunn of Haskell; Sallie Boggs of Lubbock; 9 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Lawrence Boggs of Lubbock; Darrel Boggs of Springtown; Scotty Boggs of Lubbock; sister, Sherri Boyd of Lubbock; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
