Marie Solomon

Marie Solomon, 85, formerly of Haskell, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022 in Robert Lee. A Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at East Side Baptist Church with Joe Willesden and Bro. Terry Bunch officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Cemetery under the direction of Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D. A visitation will be held from 6-8pm onTuesday, April 5, 2022 at Haskell Funeral Home. Marie was born August 29, 1936 in Haskell, Texas, the daughter of the late Thomas Bird and Nellie Carruth Bird. On March 22, 1957, she married Donnie Solomon. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, quilting, and painting. Marie was a member of East Side Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 4 siblings, Thomas Bird, Betty Schuermann, Wallace Bird and Sue Klare.

Marie is survived by her children, Keith Solomon and wife Lisa of Haskell; Paula Fulfer and husband Cotton of Graham; Tammy Riley and husband Tommy of Robert Lee; Cliff Solomon and wife Melinda of Lake Whitney; Kendell Solomon and wife Judy of Corpus Christi; grandchildren, J. Barnwell and wife Amy, Stephanie Surgenor and husband Matt, Jerry Riley, Amy Riley, 8 great, grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
