John Craig Allison

John Craig Allison was a gentle giant that lived a full life. He left this world suddenly on September 3, 2023 at the age of 68. He was living his best life, enjoying horse races in Ruidoso with the love of his life and bestfriend, Celinda.

John was born to Wallace and Helen Allison on April 18, 1955. He graduated from Rule High School in 1973 and farmed alongside his father for several years. He met the love of his life during that time, and they married on May 6, 1978. Together they had two children, Kayla and Jonathan and later were blessed with a daughter-in-law, Sharla and three grandchildren: Garrett, Carsyn and Blakelee.

John and Celinda celebrated their 45th anniversary this year. They built a business that they loved in Gardendale, Texas. Friends and family would agree that John was an amazing cook, which he came by naturally from his momma.

A visitation will be held Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 4:00-5:30pm at Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D; followed by a 6:00pm, Graveside Service at Rule Cemetery with Pastor Andy Hill officiating. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Arbor Day Foundation to plant a tree in John’s memory.
