Jessie I. Couch, 89, of Haskell, passed away Friday, October 9, 2020 at her home. A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 pm, Monday, October 12, 2020 at Haskell Foursquare Church with Pastor Bill Glass officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Cemetery under the direction of Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D. A visitation will be held Sunday, October 11, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Haskell Funeral Home. Jessie was born June 1, 1931 in Haskell, TX; the daughter of the late Jeffery D. Turnbow and Mattie Ann Brown Turnbow. She married Clyde W. Couch, who preceded her in death. In 1964, she became a nurse working at Haskell Memorial Hospital for over 30 years. Jessie left a wonderful legacy of a strong faith, unrelenting hope and a great love for her church, Haskell Foursquare Church and the Bible.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde Couch; brothers, Buck Turnbow, C.A. "Bud" Turnbow, George Turnbow, Bob Turnbow; sisters, Sue Frier, Oma Mae "Bunt" Herricks, Feba Jo Stout, Ocie Garrett, Loney Linton; and twin, Jeffie Stapp.
Jessie is survived by daughter, Patty Bowen of Haskell, TX; 3 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 4 great grandchildren, nephew Wayne Stout & family of Haskell, TX; numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of dear friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Haskell Home Health, Hendrick Hospice Care, Dr. Wayne Cadenhead, and two very special caregivers, Darlene Collins and Pamela Green.
