Jerry Lyndel Force, 80, lost his long battle with COPD and entered his eternal heavenly home on April 13, 2024.
Our beloved Jerlyndel, Dad, Grandpa and Uncle J was born in Haskell, Texas, on December 24, 1943, to the late Leonard and Nelline (Mutt) Force. He grew up in O’Brien, Texas, where he helped his father farm and excelled in school sports. Jerry began his life’s career in the auto body industry by working for Sterling Body Shop during his high school years. He became a shop manager and eventually opened his own insurance adjusting office in Wichita Falls. Jerry was truly an outdoorsman; he loved fishing, hunting, shooting skeet & sporting clays and playing golf.
He was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church in Wichita Falls where he developed a love and passion for studying God’s Word.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda; son, Michael and brother, Herchel. He is survived by his wife, Doris (Laxson) from Lubbock; son, Jimmy Force and wife Connie of Electra; daughter, Jennifer Angle and husband Derrick of Waxahachie; granddaughters: Tabitha Force, Tiffiny Craddock and Brittiny Battison; seven great grandchildren and nieces, Deidra Foster and Natalie Barnard.
Graveside services will be held on 11:00am, Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Roberts Cemetery in Haskell, Texas, at the direction of Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.
