Jay Felton Clopton, 63, of Stamford, TX passed away, Saturday, May 6, 2017 in Abilene, TX. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, June 12, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Cherokee in Cherokee, TX. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.

Jay was born June 10, 1953, in Austin, TX, the son of J. James Clopton and Emma Lou McCown. He enjoyed going to garage sales and watching old westerns on TV, and was an arborist all of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Yancy Navada Clopton.

Jay is survived by wife, Cynthia Greenwood; daughter, Laura Rock and husband Donny; daughter, Julie Saucedo and husband Alex; son, Jason Clopton and wife Della; daughter, Crystal Prickett and husband Chris; grandchildren, Seth and Melisa Rock, Chloe and Allen Clopton, Zayden Saucedo; sister, Pamela Hinson and husband John; brother, Dale Clopton and wife Shannon; sister, Margret Gardner and husband James; brother, Marty Clopton and wife Mary; numerous nieces and nephews.
