Guadalupe "Lupe" Perez, 79, of Haskell, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020. A graveside service will be held 2 pm, Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Willow Cemetery with Rev. Joseph Kurumbel officiating. A rosary will be held 7 pm, Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D. with Deacon Julian Estrada officiating. Lupe was born December 12, 1941 in Falfurrias, Texas, the daughter of the late Luciano Carrasco and Paula Ortiz Carrasco. On October 12, 1956, she married Baldemar Perez in Falfurrias, Texas. For 21 years she worked at Haskell Memorial Hospital in housekeeping. She was a member of the Guadalupanas and St. George Catholic Church. Lupe enjoyed shopping, garage sales, antiques, playing bingo and dancing. Most of all she loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Lupe is survived by her husband of 64 years, Baldemar Perez, Sr., children, Belia Abila and husband John of Haskell, TX; Joseph Perez and wife Tracie of Clyde, TX; Patrick Perez and Evangelina of Clyde, TX; Baldemar Perez, Jr., and wife Kristen of Snyder, TX; grandchildren, Jose Abila and wife Amanda; John Adam Abila and wife Linda; Cynthia Green and husband Kevin; Bridgette Perez; Isacc Perez; Alexandria Perez; great grandchildren, Alyssa Abila, Mykal Abila, Jeremyah Abila, M'Kayla Abila, Braylin Abila, Allie Boone, Gavin Green, Stryker Husk, Alaina Stewart; sisters, Eva Acosta of Pflugerville, TX; Maria Pena of Falfurrias, TX; brother, Juan Carrasco of Milwaukee, WI; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
