Gayla Marie Nanny, 88, of Haskell, passed away Monday, November 16, 2020 in Haskell. A graveside service will be held 3pm, Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Willow Cemetery with Bro Greg Gassaway officiating. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.
Gayla was born March 27, 1932 in Haskell, Texas, the daughter of the late Tom Holland and Arvella Brown Holland. On April 23, 1950, she married Don Nanny in Haskell, Texas. She worked as an Executive Assistant for WIC and was co-owner of the Wigwam Arts & Crafts and Barbershop Antiques. She, along with two others, won Volunteer of the Year, for their work at Willow Cemetery; trimming trees and cleaning the area. Gayla was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed painting, crafts and gardening.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Don Nanny.
Gayla is survived by her daughters, Donna Nanny and husband Tom Wright of Pleasanton, TX; Brenda Holland and husband Darryl Goetz of Haskell, TX; grandson, Fred Whitney and wife Tiffany of Tiburon, CA; granddaughter, Mackenzie Ellis and husband Jarrod of Boerne, TX; great granddaughter, Hannah Whitney of Tiburon, CA; brother, Herb Holland and wife Carolyn of Tulsa, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and a host of dear friends.
