Gary Lee Louis

Gary Lee Louis, 65, of Big Spring, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024, in Lubbock, Texas. A funeral service will be held 3:00pm, Saturday, October 5, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Rule, Texas with Minister Edward Mays officiating. Burial will follow in Rule Cemetery under the direction of Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Ave D, Haskell, Texas. A visitation will be held Friday, October 4, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home. Gary was born October 7, 1958, in Haskell, Texas, the son of the late Frank Louis and Clemmie Lee Colfield Louis. On June 18, 2010, he married Shelby Parker in Big Spring. He worked for 30 years as a diesel truck mechanic for Rip Griffin and TA Travel Center. Gary loved to fish and barbecue; however, his favorite pastime was spending time with his children and grandbabies.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Louis and Clemmie Lee Louis; daughter, Gwendolyn Anderson; sister, Arlisa K Bagley; and brother, Kelvin Louis.

Gary is survived by his four daughters, Krystal Louis, Megan Anderson, Katelyn Anderson of Big Spring, Texas, and Brandi Tyson and Taylor of Butler, AL; granddaughters, Lyzza Charvera and Gwendolyn Chavez; brothers, Jerry Wayne Louis of Phoenix, AZ, Marvin Louis and Paula of Lubbock, TX, Alvin Louis and Salittia of Big Spring, TX, Marty Louis of Aspermont, TX; sisters, Martisha Louis Barriere and Jude of Port Arthur, TX, Thresa Louis and Arethea Louis, both of Twentynine Palms, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Marvin Louis, Alvin Louis, Garrett Louis, B.J. Louis, Brian Williams, Jaden Williams and Jude Barriere. Honorary Pallbearers are Eugene Vanderbilt and Marty Louis.
