Evlyne Ann Crane, 85, lifelong resident of Haskell County, passed away, Thursday, December 19, 2024 in Haskell. A graveside service will be held 1:00pm, Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Rochester Cemetery with Bro. Carl Amburn officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm at Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.
Evlyne was born May 6, 1939 in Haskell, Texas, the daughter of the late Leon Wolf and Annie Jane Larned Wolf. She dedicated her life to her family, working tirelessly as a devoted housewife, ensuring her home was filled with love and warmth. She also worked on the farm and helped operate Crane’s Arcade in Rochester for many years. She enjoyed working, sewing, cooking, and raising her grandchildren. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Haskell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles James “Jimmy” Crane; sons, James Darrell Crane and Michael Lynn Crane; brother, Bobby Lee Wolf; great grandsons, Timothy Darrell Massey and Gabriel James Barrera.
Evlyne is survived by her sons, Charles William Crane and Jacqueline of Rule, (nephew), Ovis Homer “Sonny” West and Dana of Haskell, and Terry Gene Crane of Rule; brothers, W L “Bill” Wolf and Karen of Haskell and James Robert “Shorty” Wolf and Rita of Snyder; sisters, Annie Wynette Reed of Cleburne and Betty Pauline Isbell of Cleburne; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that contributions for the funeral service be made to Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Ave D, Haskell, Texas 79521.
