Elvira Pedroza Espinosa, 83, of Knox City, passed away, Monday, January 22, 2018 in San Antonio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am, Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, (Rhineland) 10180 CR 6010, Munday, TX. A rosary will be held Friday, January 26, 2018 at 6:00 pm at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church. Rev. John Perikomalayil Antony, HGN will be officiating both services. Elvira was born January 7, 1935 in Weinert, TX the daughter of the late Gregory Pedroza and David (Rosa) Villa Pedroza. On September 2, 1957, she married Raul Q. Espinosa, Sr. in Benjamin, TX. She worked 40 years in Knox City, in the medical field, before retiring. Elvira was a member of Santa Rosa Catholic Church in Knox City. She enjoyed dancing, working in her yard and tending to her flowers. Elvira loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Diana Espinosa; brother, Daniel Pedroza; niece, Brenda Pedroza and nephew, Johnny Pedroza, Jr.
Elvira is survived by her husband of 60 years, Raul Q. Espinosa of Knox City; children, Hope Molina and husband Rick of Little River-Academy; Raul Espinosa, Jr., and wife Stephanie of San Antonio; Robert Espinosa and wife Sandy of Knox City; Alma Gloria Flores and husband Juan of Slaton; Carmen Richards and husband Mark of San Antonio; Martha Alderete and husband Daniel of Taylor; 15 grandchildren, Ricky Molina, Dan Molina, Kris Molina, Vanessa Garza, Brandon Espinosa, Cameron Espinosa, Ashley Johnson, Aaron Espinosa, Chris McGee, Cara Finley, Renee Flores-Hernandez, Michael Cabrera, Anna Torres, Rebecca Deary, Lucas Alderete; great-grandchildren, Matthew Molina, Nicholas Molina, Olivia Garza, Avery Garza, Kenslie Johnson, Kolston Johnson, Sapphire Flores-Hernandez, Serena Torres, Jeremy Torres, Josiah Torres, Lauren Deary, Daniel Torres and Kaitlyn Deary. She is also survived by brothers, Juan Pedroza and wife Leticia; Gregory Pedroza, Jr. and wife Alice of Ft. Worth, Randy Pedroza of Haskell; sister-in-law, Pauline Pedroza of Dallas; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
