Donald "Don" Lee Bivins

Don Lee "Pa" Bivins, 72, of Haskell, passed away after an evening of doing what he loved, spending time with his family, while watching the football game and the Indian band, on Friday, October 14, 2016. A Celebration in memory of Don's life will be held 2:00pm, Monday, October 17, 2016 at the Haskell Church of Christ with Philip Sims officiating. A visitation will be held Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 2:00-4:00pm at Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Ave D, Haskell. Don was an organ donor and his wishes were to be cremated.
Don Lee Bivins was born November 7, 1943 in Knox City, Texas, the son of the late William Lee and Margaret Sego Bivins. On August 14, 1965, he married the love of his life, Patsy Clark in Sagerton, TX. After retirement, he has worked for Penman's Oil Service, servicing Haskell, Weinert, Knox City and Munday. Don was a member of the Haskell Church of Christ. He loved to fish and hunt. Don's biggest joy was being "Pa" to his granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his son, Coleman Lee Bivins and sister Janice Bivins.
Don was survived by his wife of 51 years, Pat Bivins of Haskell; son, Tom Lee Bivins of Sagerton; daughter, Emmalee Phemister of Haskell; granddaughters, Chambray, Cassidy and Calee; sister, Bunnie Roberts and husband Joe of Greenwood; numerous cousins and a host of dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial be made to the Haskell Church of Christ youth group, 501 North Avenue E, Haskell, Texas 79521.
