Dean Slater, 88, passed away, October 31, 2020 in Haskell, Texas. Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.
Dean was born in Cushing, OK to Frank Slater and Ethel Flick Slater. Dean married Margaret Slater in 1950, she preceded him in death in 2000. In 2011, he retired to Haskell after a long career as a welder. He loved hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Margaret Slater; 2 sons, Larry Dean Slater and John Dudley Slater.
Dean is survived by his son, Patrick Slater and wife Diane of Haskell; brother, Lloyd Slater of Cushing, OK; 6 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and 1 great, grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
