Cynthia "Cindy" Short

Cynthia “Cindy” Short, 68, of Abilene, formerly of Haskell, passed away Monday, October 30, 2023 surrounded by her family. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the First Assembly of God in Haskell with Bro. Carl Amburn officiating. Cindy was born December 15, 1954 in Haskell, Texas, the daughter of the late J.C. Short and Zetta Tidrow Short. She was an avid crafter who enjoyed cross stitching and crocheting different items for the family. Cindy loved her grandchildren, if she wasn’t with them, she wanted to hear all about them. She also enjoyed dancing. Cindy loved God and was a member of First Assembly of God. The love and smile she shared touched so many lives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; J.C. Short and Zetta Dutton; brother, Larry Short in 2017.

Cindy is survived by her children, Sharla Bradford and husband Ricky of Clyde; Michelle Taylor and husband Josh of Abilene; James Green and wife Maddy of Abilene, Bradley Matlock and wife Tarrah of Justin; 7 grandchildren, Alex Jackson, Kaylee Glover, Tristen Taylor, Mason Taylor, Owen Green, Ellisyn Green, Jack Matlock; great, grandchildren, Arzie Jackson and Blaize Jackson. She is also survived by brother Cliff Short and wife Mynea of Haskell; sister-in-law, Shirley Short of Haskell; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of dear friends.
