Charles Dayton, Sr., 71, of Haskell, formerly of Berkley Springs, West Virginia; passed away Monday, June 6, 2022 in Haskell. His wishes were to be cremated.
Charles was born June 12, 1950 in Lubbock, Texas, the son of the late Hannan and Elsie Dayton. In 1982, he married Margaret Denson. He retired from working for the US Government. Charles was a member of the Masonic Lodge and attended First Baptist Church, with his father, Hannan Dayton. Charles played the guitar, sang bass and loved to read.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Robin Dayton.
Charles is survived by his wife of 40 years, Margaret Dayton; children, Jackie Keffer and husband Harry of Fayetteville, PA; Jessy Dayton and wife Tiffany of South Haven, MS; Charles Dayton, Jr. and wife Karen of Colombus, OH; 5 grandchildren, 8 great, grandchildren; sister-in-law, Coni Dayton of Dear Park, TX; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
