Billy Lewis "Jack" Lusk, 93, of Haskell, passed away peacefully, Monday, March 1, 2021 in Haskell. A Graveside Service will be held 3:00 pm, Friday, March 5, 2021 at Willow Cemetery with Bro. Jack was born January 26, 1928, in Haskell, Texas, the son of the late Vernon Lusk and Ora Alberta O'Neal Lusk. On December 28, 1943, he married Velma Mae Sharp (of Rochester). She preceded him in death. He served as a Missionary Baptist Minister for 55 years. For 10 years, he worked for the City of Haskell, maintaining flowers around downtown and helping with other beautification projects. It has been told his favorite hobby was climbing ladders, because he was always on a roof or in a tree fixing them. Jack was a member of the First Baptist Church, Rule.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 64 years, Velma Mae Lusk; daughter, Marsha Dale Lusk; granddaughter, Ora Mondale Sollberger; and brother Edwin Allen Lusk.
Jack is survived by his daughter, Brenda Frye of Haskell, TX; grandchildren, Rick Grimes and wife Sharon of Brooksville, FL; Bill Grimes of Chicago, IL; Sheri Wagner of Haskell, TX; Cliff Grimes and wife Cindy of Agua Dulce, CA; great-grandchildren, Brittany Philipson, Bristol Wagner, Marina Wagner, Ricky Grimes, Rebekah Grimes, Samantha Grimes, Tabitha Grimes, Matthew Grimes; great, great-grandchildren, Taylor Philipson, Jordan Philipson, Madison Andres, Macey Andres, Miranda Andres, Kayla Grimes; brother, Jimmie Vernay Lusk and wife Dona of Duncan, Arizona, nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of dear friends.
