Audelia V. Torres, 76, of Knox City, passed away Friday, March 5, 2021 in Abilene. A graveside service will be 10:00 am, Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Willow Cemetery. A Rosary will be held 7:00 pm, Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.
Audelia was born August 15, 1944 in Charco, Texas, the daughter of the late Alfredo Valerio and Carolina Montez Valerio. For 22 + years, she worked in the cafeteria for Haskell CISD, retiring in 1998. She enjoyed going to casinos, getting her nails done, sewing and crocheting.
Audelia was a member of St. George Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pete Torres, Sr.; husband, John Nanez; son, Uvaldo Valerio; brothers, Alfredo Valerio, Jr., Fernando Valerio; great-grandson, Jayce Cannon Abila; grandson-in-law, Anthony Moreno; and daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Torres.
Audelia is survived by her daughter, Linda Abila and husband Mario of Knox City; son, Pete Torres, J.R. and wife Kay Lynn of The Woodlands; grandchildren, Lezli Molina and husband Fernando of Olney; Lindsey Abila and Freddie Ruiz of Knox City; Mealinda Moreno of Haskell; Mario Abila III and Jessica of Knox City; Allison Torres of Conroe; Christian Abila and Maggie Arismendez of Haskell; great-grandchildren, Noah, Emilee, Blake, Zander, Lexi, Eliana, Juliana, Justus, A.J., Jaycee, Easton Zaviah, Rebecca and two on the way. She is also survived by sisters, Geneva Herrera of Wellington; Maria Luisa Resio of Mathis, Hortencia Paiz and husband Alberto of Abernathy, daughter-in-law, Sofia Valerio of Mathis; sister-in-laws, Rosie Valerio, Gloria Valerio, nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of dear friends.
