Anita Faye Blair

Anita Faye Blair, 58, of Haskell, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024. A Memorial Service will be held 10:00am, Saturday, August 24, 2024, at First Baptist Church Haskell with Bro. Ford Cole officiating, under the direction of Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Avenue D, Haskell, Texas. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com

Anita was born July 3, 1966, in Columbus, Georgia, to Hewlette “Marvin” Blair, JR and Lynn Jones Blair. Anita worked as a short order cook at Star Stop until their closure. She then ran the Sale Barn Café alongside her mother until beginning her housekeeping career at the AmeriStay Inn in Haskell. Her greatest pastime was spending time with her grandkids. She also enjoyed completing word search puzzles and she loved her cats.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents.

Anita is survived by her husband of 32 years, John William Gardner, Jr. of Haskell, TX; daughter, Shayna Maynard and husband Travis of Haskell, TX; Sons, Sean McKague and Trey Gardner of Haskell, TX; grandchildren, Harley Maynard, Logan Maynard, and Ivy Maynard of Haskell, TX; sisters, Alicia Tidrow and husband JT of Haskell, TX, and Avis Lane and husband Carter of Yumah, AZ; brother Allan Blair and wife Kathy of Neenah, WI; as well as many nieces and nephews; and a host of dear friends.
