Phillip Gene Strickland

Phillip Gene Strickland, 85, lifelong resident of Haskell, passed away, Monday, July 24, 2023 at the Haskell Healthcare Center.  A Graveside Service will be held 10:00am Thursday, July 27 at the Rochester Cemetery with Bro Carl Amburn officiating.  Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.

Phillip was born July 23, 1938 in Haskell, TX, the son of the late Susie Patterson Strickland and Buster Strickland. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family, especially his grandsons.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 3 siblings, JoAnn Solomon, Leroy Strickland, and Omitene Amonett.

Phillip is survived by his daughter, Cheryl McIntosh (Matt) of Gladewater, TX; grandchildren, Colby McIntosh (Liz) of San Antonio, TX and Matthew McIntosh (Katie) of Johnson City, TN; sister, Vicki Medford (Danny) of Haskell, TX; brother, Jerry Strickland of Haskell, TX; his companion of 32 years, Sandra LeFevre of Rule, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of dear friends.
